The Vintage

2019

2019 in Burgundy is best described as a remarkable vintage. The year started with a mild winter that allowed the vines to get a head start. Their pace was slowed, however, as the beginning of spring brought cooler temperatures. Flowering was difficult and led to smaller yields in some areas, but the arrival of summer and warmer weather pushed the grapes along. Heat and dryness in August were so intense that some of the leaves had already turned yellow when it was time to harvest. Once harvest began in September, the conditions were ideal.

This vintage will show quite well for the next 10 to 20 years.
